1. In-App Subscriptions & Google Play Billing Compliance
QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro provides optional auto-renewing premium subscription plans ("Scanner Pro Premium" / VIP) and lifetime access options that unlock advanced utility features, including an ad-free experience, unlimited batch CSV barcode exports, multi-language OCR text extraction, and high-compression PDF processing.
🔒 Zero Financial Data Storage by SHREYA APPS
All financial transactions, payment processing, credit card data, bank information, and recurring subscription billing are conducted exclusively and securely by the Google Play Store (Google LLC) via the Google Play In-App Billing API. SHREYA APPS never collects, sees, stores, or transmits your credit card number, debit card number, bank details, or billing address.
Subscription Information We Process: To verify your active entitlement to premium features across app launches, our application interacts with the Google Play Billing client to receive an anonymized purchase token, order ID, product SKU, and subscription expiration timestamp. This data is associated only with your local device installation and is used strictly for subscription entitlement delivery.
Auto-Renewal & Subscription Management
- Automatic Renewal: Subscription fees are charged to your Google Play account upon purchase confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew at the current rate unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the active subscription period.
- Free Trials / Promotional Offers: If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited upon subscription purchase. When a free trial concludes, your Google Play account will be automatically billed for the chosen subscription tier unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to trial expiration.
- Price Changes: In the event of subscription price modifications, Google Play will provide reasonable advance notice. Users must consent to price changes to maintain ongoing auto-renewals.
⚠️ Critical Notice on Cancellation: Uninstalling or deleting the application from your Android phone or tablet DOES NOT cancel your active subscription. You must actively cancel your subscription through Google Play using the steps below.
How to Manage or Cancel Your Subscription via Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- At the top right, tap your Profile Icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro from your list of active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Alternatively, manage subscriptions directly from your desktop browser at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Following cancellation, you will retain full access to premium features until the end of your prepaid billing period. Partial billing period refunds are subject to Google Play standard policies.
Refund Policy (Google Play)
Because in-app subscription purchases are processed directly by Google Play, refund requests are evaluated in accordance with Google Play's standard refund policies. Within 48 hours of purchase, users may request a refund directly through the Google Play purchase history. 🔒 Banking & Financial Data Privacy Guarantee (Web)
SHREYA APPS never collects, processes, transmits, or stores your credit card number, debit card CVV, bank account credentials, or UPI PINs. All payment processing occurs inside sandboxed, encrypted iframes hosted directly by Razorpay (compliant with Reserve Bank of India tokenization mandates & PCI-DSS Level 1) or PayPal (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant with 256-bit bank-grade SSL).
What Information Is Collected During Web Checkout
When you complete a transaction on our website, we receive only the non-sensitive metadata necessary to provision and maintain your Pro entitlement:
- Customer Email Address: Used strictly to identify your account, issue automated transaction invoices, restore access on new devices, and link entitlements between web and mobile. We do not sell or rent your email.
- Processor Transaction & Order ID: A cryptographic identifier (e.g.,
pay_...from Razorpay or order ID from PayPal) used to verify payment confirmation. - Plan Identifier & Expiration Timestamp: Details of the plan selected (Monthly Starter, Annual Pass, or Lifetime VIP) and expiration date.
How Web Subscriptions Are Stored on Your Browser
To deliver immediate access without requiring complex account creation or intrusive third-party trackers, an active entitlement session is stored locally in your browser's sandboxed localStorage with cryptographic integrity verification. This allows the website to recognize you on subsequent visits and keep Pro features unlocked. If you clear your browser cookies, format your computer, or switch to a new device, you can instantly restore your active subscription at zero additional charge using the Restore Access tool on pricing.html by entering your purchase email or 6-digit Sync Code.
Cross-Platform Web & Android Synchronization
Our service utilizes RevenueCat, Inc. as an infrastructure entitlement orchestration partner to synchronize subscription status between the Android mobile application and the web tools. When you sync devices using a 6-digit Sync Code or account email, RevenueCat securely maps the active entitlement state across both platforms without transferring document scans, barcodes, or sensitive financial data.
Web Subscription Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancelling PayPal Recurring Payments: Log in to your account at paypal.com > Settings > Payments > Manage Automatic Payments > select QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro > Cancel.
- Cancelling Razorpay UPI Recurring Mandates: Open your registered UPI mobile app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM) > Autopay / Mandates section > Pause or Cancel mandate. You may also cancel via the receipt management link sent to your email by Razorpay.
- Access After Cancellation: When auto-renewal is cancelled, your Pro entitlement remains fully operational until the conclusion of your prepaid billing period.
- Web Refund Policy: For web purchases, refunds may be requested within 7 days of initial purchase if the service fails to operate due to verifiable technical faults. To initiate a refund, contact contact@shreyapps.com with your transaction ID.
2. Camera Permissions & 100% On-Device Optical Processing
To deliver its core utility functions—scanning barcodes, decoding QR codes, detecting document corners, and generating PDF files—the application requests the Android android.permission.CAMERA permission.

The application does NOT request or access your GPS location coordinates, phone call logs, microphone audio, contacts, or biometric data.
3. Advertising, Cookies & Third-Party Services (AdSense & AdMob)
The free tier of our mobile application and public website may display advertisements served by Google through Google AdSense and Google AdMob. Users who subscribe to the Premium / VIP tier receive an uninterrupted, 100% ad-free experience.
- Advertising Cookies: Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, use cookies and anonymous device advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / GAID) to serve ads based on your visits to this website and other internet destinations.
- Consent Management: In the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, our services operate in conjunction with Google-certified Consent Management Platforms (CMP) adhering to the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2.2) to collect user preferences for personalized vs. non-personalized advertising.
- Personalized Ads Opt-Out: You may opt out of personalized interest-based advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or via aboutads.info. On Android devices, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier under Settings > Privacy > Ads.

4. Account Deletion & Data Erasure (Google Play Policy Compliance)
In compliance with Google Play's App and Account Deletion policies, we provide complete transparency and control over your data:
- Immediate In-App Data Wipe: Because all decoded scan history, favorites, generated codes, and PDF documents reside locally on your device, you can permanently erase all data at any moment by tapping Settings > Clear All History & Cache within the application, or by selecting Clear Storage / Clear Data in your Android system settings.
- Formal Deletion Requests: If you have contacted our support team and wish to have any corresponding email correspondence or diagnostic crash tickets permanently deleted from our support logs, submit a written deletion request to contact@shreyapps.com. Requests are confirmed and executed within 30 business days.
5. Age Requirement & Child Privacy Protection
This application and associated web utilities are strictly intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain European jurisdictions). If we become aware that an underage user has provided personal information, we take immediate steps to delete such data from our records.
